Sanzhen won the opening match of the Chinese Super League (CSL) title race, securing their place at the top of the table.
The match saw Sanzhen take on Guangzhou Evergrande and they came out on top with a convincing 2-1 win. The first half was tight but the second half was much more open, with both teams creating chances.
In the first half, Sanzhen took control of the game and created several opportunities to score. However, it wasn't until the second half that they found their breakthrough. A goal from substitute midfielder Zhang Guoyin gave them the lead, before defender Yu Daxiang added a second late on.
Guangzhou Evergrande put up a good fight, but Sanzhen's solid defense and attacking prowess proved too much for them to handle. The win means that Sanzhen has taken a significant step towards securing the CSL title this season.
With just one match remaining, Sanzhen now sit atop the table with 18 points, five clear of their nearest rivals. They will need to maintain this form if they want to secure the title, but with such a strong squad and manager, there is no reason why they can't do so.
