Rennes Beats Angers 2-0, Terrier, Truffert Lead to Second Victory in Two Games

Rennes has taken another step towards the top of French football with their 2-0 win over Angers on Saturday.

The match was won by Rennes' striker Antoine Terrier and midfielder Maxence Crevon, who both scored goals in the second half.

Terrier's goal came in the 56th minute after he received a pass from his team-mate, who then crossed it into the box for Terrier to head home.

Crevon's goal came in the 78th minute after he intercepted a pass from his opponent and dribbled past them before scoring a stunning strike.

Both Terrier and Crevon were delighted with their performances, with Terrier saying: "I'm very happy to score two goals today. I worked hard all week to get ready for this game and I'm glad that my efforts paid off."

Crevon added: "It was a great day for me as well. It was a tough game against Angers but we managed to come out on top thanks to our hard work and determination."

Angers manager Christophe Pélissier was disappointed with the result, saying: "We had some good moments in the first half but unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of them. We will have to work hard to improve our performance in the coming weeks."

Rennes coach Julien Stéphan also praised his players' performance, saying: "We knew that Angers would be a difficult opponent but we showed our quality and determination today. We're looking forward to the next game against Paris Saint-Germain."
